Right place, right time

There was a time, not too long ago, when I poo-pooed network marketing. Yep. Me. Miss “I’m so madly in love with what I do and with Arbonne”, because I truly am.

I wasn’t always. Wanna know why?… it was because I was completely uninformed and uneducated about this industry. First of all, I had no idea there was so many NWM (NetWork Marketing) or direct sales companies. I knew of about 3 or 4. And I didn’t like any of their products.

After doing extensive research and asking a LOT of questions to many different companies, I finally landed on Arbonne. I looked at many different things when comparing companies; how much to get started? Were the products in demand – do people need them and do they WANT them? How old is the company? How well known is it? (I wanted a company that was practically breaking ground, yet mature). Do I like/use the products? And are the products consumable?

Truth is, Arbonne met all of these criteria beautifully. 

1. It meets marketplace demands. The health and wellness industry is also EXPLODING!!! So, not only are you getting into the NWM industry, you’re also joining forces of an entirely different industry. In this case, 1 + 1 = AMAZEBALLS.

2. During the great depression there were 3 industries that didn’t lose out – in fact, you could probably find a statistic that these actually flourished during that time – they were; tobacco, alcohol and beauty products. Can you picture it? Folks standing in line for jobs for hours, but gosh darn it all, they were going to be smokin’, drinkin’ and lookin’ fabulous doing it! HA!

3. The company is overflowing with integrity. I NEVER have to wonder if they’re telling the truth about the products. They’re so transparent with the ingredients; where they got them, and why they put each one in the product. I’m excited to say that each product listing on the website includes the ingredient list. We have absolutely nothing to hide.

4. Arbonne attracts all different types of people. Men and women. What we all have in common is a desire to dream big, go for those dreams and help others do the same thing. We all have this freedom ‘chip’ installed in our hearts. It helps us make choices that benefits the whole, not just us. It pushes us to be our BEST selves every single day. Arbonne brings out the best in folks and helps them grow – and most of the time you don’t even know it’s happening.

Arbonne came to us at one of our very lowest points in life. My husband, children and myself are all different and better because that’s what it brought out in us. We prayed for a long time for this amazing gift and it was answered over a cup of coffee at my kitchen table.

Cleaning your face…

I don’t recommend using shampoo to clean your face, I mean, unless you HAVE to. Like, if there’s a zombie apocalypse and their drink of choice is facial cleanser… I guess then you’d have to use shampoo.

I never HAD to use shampoo. I just didn’t know I was supposed to be using a separate cleanser for my face. I think I figured why waste the money? The shampoo does a pretty darn good job washing me hair (or so I thought), it’ll be fine to wash my face when it runs down from my head in the shower. Right?

It’s important to recognize that properly cleansing the skin prepares your skin to absorb products you may put on after, like a serum or moisturizer. Clearing out your pores allows the moisturizer to penetrate into your skin for maximum effectiveness. What’s the point of applying moisturizers and treatments if your skin isn’t able to absorb them fully? (1) We’ll talk about moisturizers in another post. 😉

There’s also cleanser for those with ACNE PRONE SKIN called Clear Advantage Clarifying Wash Acne Medication. Great for pre-teens and teens. Although, I have to tell you, before you go buying a bunch of acne products, look at your diet (or your teens diet). If they’re eating a lot of junk or “food-like” products, then try switching their diet some more natural foods – “God foods”. 80% of what is happening on our skin is a result of what we’re eating, usually. So that’s the best place to start!

So, don’t be like the old Heather by using shampoo to wash your face. Use cleanser. Enjoy. ☺

How to: Facials at home

Some of us (ME!) love to go to the spa and get a nice relaxing facial. This comes with a HUGE price tag, usually! So, I encourage folks to do your own facial right at home, whenever you want at MUCH less than half the cost!

What products you’ll need for this:

-RE9 Advanced Set, #818

-RE9 Advanced Cellular Renewal Masque, #899

-FC5 Exfoliating New Cell Scrub, #7386

-For Normal/Dry skin: Intense Hydration Mask, #7461. For Oily/Combination Skin: Deep Cleansing Mask, #7460

I recommend you do this facial once a week to once a month, and use the RE9 system daily.

STEPS:

1. Apply RE9 Smoothing Facial cleanser in circular motions on your face. Wash away.

2. Apply a dime sized amount of FC5 Exfoliating New Cell Scrub to your face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Do this for about a minute and let dry. While you’re waiting for it to dry, wet a wash cloth and ring it out, stick it in the microwave for 1 min 30 sec. Take it out carefully and once you can stand it, lay it over your face until it begins to cool. Use it to wash away the scrub.

3. Apply a pea sized amount of the RE9 Cellular Renewal Masque, all over avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5 – 7 mins, then gently wash away.

4. Apply a pea-sized amount of the Deep cleansing OR the Intense Hydration mask all over. Avoid eye area. Leave on for 10 mins then gently wash away.

5. Spray the RE9 Toner onto your skin, or onto a cotton ball then apply all over face and neck.

6. Use one pump of the RE9 Intensive Renewal Serum and apply to entire face, avoiding eye area.

7. Apply RE9 Corrective Eye creme to both eyes. 1 pump is all you need for BOTH eyes.

8. Apply pea sized amount of the RE9 Night Repair Creme to face and neck.

9. Drink a nice cup of Arbonne’s Herbal Detox Tea and get a restful nights sleep! In the morning apply the RE9 Day Creme – just one pump for your entire face!
